Longevity

Harvard geneticist David Sinclair on his latest research into reversing aging: epigenetic reprogramming, NAD⁺, sirtuins, what supplements actually deliver, and why DNA isn't destiny.

One of the most accessible long-form Sinclair interviews since “Lifespan”. A solid entry point into the epigenetic reprogramming hypothesis — but listen critically: several claims remain early-phase and unreplicated."

Prof. Matthew Walker (UC Berkeley, “Why We Sleep”) on insomnia, circadian rhythm, REM and deep sleep — and where magnesium and melatonin are overrated.

Walker is the loudest sleep advocate worldwide. Some of his bestselling claims were sharply criticised in 2019 (Alexey Guzey's audit), but the core points on sleep architecture hold up."

Nutrition

Prof. Tim Spector (King's College London, ZOE) on new research: why dementia, depression, and anxiety may start in the gut, why flossing lowers Alzheimer's risk, and which foods stop inflammation.

Spector built one of the world's largest microbiome cohorts via ZOE. Solid data foundation, occasionally overstated causal claims from observational studies."

Fatty Liver Expert: Your Liver Is Filling With Fat Right Now - Dr David Unwin

Dr. David Unwin (NHS GP, 40 years in practice) has put 157 patients into Type 2 diabetes remission through diet alone. On hidden sugar, NAFLD, and the 23 years of poor health in an average life.

Practitioner perspective — Unwin has worked with patients for decades and uses a pragmatic carb-restriction approach. Less academic than Bikman, more directly applicable."

Dr. William Li on angiogenesis, diet, and chronic disease. Which foods activate known tumor growth factors, which suppress them — and where cutting-edge research on cancer reversal stands today.

The episode title is classic Bartlett marketing (reversing Stage 4 cancer). Li himself is credible — Harvard physician, angiogenesis pioneer, author of “Eat to Beat Disease”. The conversation is fact-rich, but individual claims are oversold. Listen for the mechanisms; ignore the headlines."

Cognitive Decline Expert: The Disease That Starts in Your 30s but Kills You in Your 70s

Louisa Nicola (neurophysiologist, Neuro Athletics) on early Alzheimer's indicators starting in your 30s, creatine for the brain, and why sitting is a silent killer.

Nicola works mostly with pro athletes; her heuristics are application-oriented. The creatine-cognition link has solid evidence, some other recommendations are mechanistic."

This Is The Fastest Way To Get Dementia...The 6 Science-Backed Brain Fixes!

Compilation episode with highlights from interviews with Rhonda Patrick, Wendy Suzuki, Andrew Huberman, Nathan Bryan, Daniel Amen, and Simon Mills on brain health, dementia risk, and nutrition.

Best-of format — solid as a primer, but each individual interview goes deeper. Caveat: Amen is contested in academic neuroscience."
