Rhodiola Rosea
Adaptogen from arctic regions. Active compounds rosavin and salidroside modulate the HPA axis and support stress resilience, mental performance, and fatigue reduction. Effects are typically noticeable within hours.
How it works
Rhodiola rosea is an adaptogen whose actives (rosavins, salidroside) modulate the stress response and buffer the stress-hormone axis. Typically reported are less stress-related fatigue and better mental stamina under load. The evidence is mixed but most supportive for fatigue.
Dosage
200–600 mg/day of standardised extract (3 % rosavin, 1 % salidroside). Morning on empty stomach. Cycle — e.g. 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off.
Considerations
May cause evening sleep disturbances in sensitive individuals. Interactions with MAOIs, SSRIs and stimulants. Avoid in bipolar disorders.
