Over a decade of longevity self-experimentation — from three years without sugar through vegetarian, vegan, ketogenic, six months strict carnivore, and a full Gundry protocol. Intermittent faster since 2016, with one annual five-day fast. Reviews studies, tests supplement protocols on his own body, and documents his stack.

Nils Gregersen is the founder and principal author of Biolazar.com. With a degree in Business Informatics (M.Sc.) and a professional focus on artificial intelligence, IT project management, and data analysis, he is used to dissecting complex systems. His greatest passion, however, is the most complex system of all: human biology. His focus is on nutrition, supplements, and longevity.

A life of self-experimentation

Rather than relying on theoretical knowledge alone, Nils uses his own body as a test lab to experience the effects of widely different nutritional philosophies firsthand:

  • An early start: At age 12, he consistently avoided all sugar for three full years.
  • The plant-based spectrum: He lived vegetarian for three years, followed by close to a year of strict vegan eating.
  • The opposite extreme: To explore the other side, he ate strictly carnivore for six months and integrated phases of ketogenic eating into his routine.
  • The Gundry protocol: From 2022 he followed Dr. Steven Gundry's principles strictly for roughly one and a half years. After a rapid weight loss of 20 kg, Nils drew an honest and important conclusion: the implementation was definitively too extreme. That unvarnished transparency shapes his work today.

The current setup

From combining study reviews with the insights of years of self-experimentation, Nils has now established a sustainable foundation for himself:

  • Fasting: A committed intermittent faster since 2016. He also incorporates at least one extended five-day fast each year for cellular renewal (autophagy).
  • Performance: A tailored daily supplement protocol and weekly training sessions form the basis of his physical and mental performance.

The mission at Biolazar.com

Nils transfers his professional know-how from data analysis directly to the topic of longevity. He digs deep into current scientific studies and specialist literature to separate myths from facts.

On Biolazar.com he distills the expertise he has built up over the years. He shares his personal experiences without filter, translates complex scientific findings into understandable concepts, and critically examines the latest supplements and trends — always with the goal of giving readers practice-tested strategies for a longer, healthier life.
